Searching for solutions of the tensions around the monastery of Abu Fana
The Cairo Foreign Press Association went with a delegation of 25 members to the governorate of Minia on August 6 and 7. The delegation was welcomed by H.E. Governor Ahmed Dia el-Din who presented delegation members with general information about Minia but declined to speak about the Monastery of Abu Fana or other subjects since the negotiations between the different parties were still pending. The delegation visited both the monastery of Abu Fana and the neighboring village Beni Khaled.

The FPA delegation met with Member of Parliament Alaa Hassanein and businessman Eid Labib and was informed about the clashes that had taken place as well as efforts to bring the different parties in the tensions together. Sokjo Roh filmed their presentations as well as their response to questions of the FPA.
