  • Enter one keyword (try shariah, Shenouda, Islamism etc. ) or...

  • Enter a search query between quotation marks, e.g. "van Nispen", 'peace process'

  • The search results will open in a new window.

The Arab West Report Index Search

In addition to Google Custom Search we have developed AWR Index, an index currently tailored to contemporary Egyptian/Arab newspaper reporting. Read this article about the AWR Index for more details and click on the links below to see examples from the AWR website.

Petition Geert Wilders

The petition of the boards of the Center for Arab-West Understanding (Cairo) and Arab-West Foundation (Rotterdam) was signed by representatives of all Christian denominations in Egypt; Coptic Orthodox Bishop Marcos, Coptic Catholic Bishop Qulta, head of the Coptic Evangelical Community Council (Maglis el-Milli) Rev. Dr. Safwat al-Bayadi as well as prominent professors of mostly the Azhar and Cairo Universities, members of the ENAWU network, Egyptian journalists and students, all 97 signatories. We would like to thank all signatories for responding in such a short span of time!

The signing of the petition was stopped as this version is now going to the Dutch Parliament.
